I am so excited to be teaching science and math at Woodward Middle School this year!
I’ve been teaching at Woodward since 2011 and my driving philosophy focuses on curiosity and fascination. The world is so interesting! There’s still so much we don’t know and what we do know often works in crazy wacky ways. There are new patterns to unearth in math. There are webs of connections to be found in science. Each step forward simultaneously brings more depth to everyday life along with a fresh batch of new questions. As we see things more clearly it is often easier to find the edge of what we don't know.
When I'm not teaching, you’ll find me hanging out with my wife, son, daughter, and dog, probably in our garden. We enjoy camping, backpacking, rock climbing, sciencing, making art, cooking, and foraging together.
