Melvin, Lauren

I began teaching in 2020, following a career in social work. I started teaching elementary school but I am excited for this transition to middle school. As a lifelong member of the Bainbridge community, it is especially meaningful to have the opportunity to return as a teacher and give back to the community that helped shape me. Outside of school, I’m a proud parent of two children who attend BISD schools. When we’re not busy with school and work, my family loves to travel and explore new places together. I’m grateful to be raising my children in the same community that I grew up in, and I look forward to building connections with students and families while helping make their middle school experience a positive and memorable one.
