Welcome to 7th Grade Math and Social Studies at Woodward! Middle school is such a special time of rapid growth, curiosity, and discovery, and I couldn't be more excited to guide you through it this year.
My Background & Teaching Philosophy I completed my Master’s degree in 2025 and am thrilled to collaborate with our wonderful team and brilliant students. In our classroom, we view every day as a shared journey. I know you will learn a great deal this year, and I fully expect to learn just as much from each of you! My goal is to help every student build confidence in their skills while discovering the joy of learning itself.
Two foundational ideas shape everything we do in our room:

Mistakes are essential: Growth happens when we try, stumble, and figure out how to solve the problem.

Learning how to learn: Mastering how to think critically will serve you far beyond our classroom walls.
Outside the Classroom When I'm not in school, my favorite place to be is with my family. My daughter is starting her first year at Gonzaga University, my oldest son is a high school junior, and my youngest son is entering his freshman year at BHS. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time in our garden, going to sporting events including the SOUNDERS!
