Dear Woodward Families,
Our Washington State testing is now complete, and we are back to our regular daily schedule! Thank you for your support in helping students arrive at school rested, prepared, and ready to do their best during this important formal assessment period. We truly appreciate your partnership.
On a fun note, check out the photos below of our Culinary Arts students making their own pasta! Thanks to your generous PTO donations, we were able to purchase enough pasta-making equipment for each of our kitchen units so all students could participate in this hands-on experience. It has been wonderful to see their excitement and creativity in the kitchen.
While we still have a great deal of teaching and learning ahead of us, this time of year naturally brings growing excitement about summer and end-of-year activities. With just three weeks remaining, we are encouraging students to stay focused, continue putting forth their best effort, and persevere through the final stretch of the school year.
Families can play an important role in helping students finish strong by continuing to reinforce healthy routines at home — including regular attendance, good sleep habits, limiting distractions, encouraging completion of assignments, and reminding students that positive behavior and effort still matter every day. Consistency between home and school makes a tremendous difference.
We are proud of all the hard work our students have done this year and look forward to making these final weeks both productive and memorable for everyone.
Thank you, as always, for sending us your incredible students!

Please help us plan for next year! If your student will not attend BISD in the fall, please contact WMS registrar Molly Webber at mwebber@bisd303.org.
All families must complete the ABC 26–27 process for each student, including returning and new students. To complete the process, log in to Family Access and select “ABC 26-27” from the left menu. The process takes about 15 minutes per child and helps BISD plan staffing, class sizes, and student services for next year.
A few helpful reminders:
- Only Primary Families can complete the ABC process.
- Be sure to click “Complete Step and Move to…” on each page.
- The final step requires two clicks: “Complete ABC 26-27” and then “Submit ABC 26-27.”
- You’ll receive an email confirmation once submitted.

Photography and Culinary students joined forces for an exciting week-long collaboration centered on the art of food photography. The week kicked off with a visit from guest Chef and Food Blogger Sarah Pernod, who introduced students to the key elements of a compelling flat lay: color harmony, pattern, and how to choose props and accessories that complement the food being showcased. Culinary students then put those lessons into practice, crafting beautiful strawberry and rhubarb galettes, while Photography students composed and styled the flat lay shots — thoughtfully arranging each element to tell a delicious visual story. The best part? Everyone got to sample their creations at the end, making this a project that was as rewarding to eat as it was to create.

Our Music for All Generations concert brought the community together through an unforgettable evening of collaboration and song. The jazz band joined forces with our school choir and the Bainbridge Senior Choir, filling the stage with energy, harmony, and music that connected performers of every age. From lively jazz selections to heartfelt choral pieces, the concert celebrated the power of music to unite generations and create lasting memories.
