Hello Woodward Wildcats!
My name is Amanda Bailey, and I am one half of the Health and PE team!
I have been teaching since 2004 and absolutely love being a part of the BISD community. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Washington State University (GO COUGS!) and a Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education from Eastern Washington University.
I have a huge passion for teaching health and PE! Whether we're in the gym or the classroom, my goal is to make health and fitness fun, practical, and relevant for my students. I want students to walk away with genuine confidence in their abilities and the tools to take care of their physical and mental well-being. Ultimately, my hope is that they leave my class with active habits and a healthy mindset that stick with them long after middle school.
Outside of school, days are spent with family and friends, especially my husband, son, daughter, and sweet pup, Maggie. We love camping, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places.
