Welcome to your 8th grade Social Studies class!  Our first semester will be spent focusing on United States History.   The second semester allows us to take a closer look at the State of Washington and also some of our local cultural groups.  Throughout the year, we will be continuing to develop our historical thinking skills including sourcing, corroboration and establishing historical significance.

A fun fact about me is that I’ve only ever worked on islands: Staten Island (NY), Manhattan (NY) and Bainbridge.  I live with my husband Dave, and my son Andrew (BHS Class of 2026).  I love history!  I’m the girl who wants to stop at every roadside marker on a road trip and read every information panel at a museum.
