Danielle Warman
From the Associate Principal
Dear Woodward Families,

At Woodward Middle School we place significant emphasis on the development of both individual and collective character within our community. As part of this commitment, we are excited to introduce the CharacterDare Challenge, which comes from BISD’s adopted SEL curriculum “Character Strong” that K-6 schools use. The CharacterDare is like a workout for our hearts and enables us to actively practice and enhance skills such as kindness, patience, and respect.

As a part of our SEL growth, we are going to provide Family CharacterDares throughout the school year for you to do at home. This provides you with the opportunity to engage with your students about their experiences and progress at school and to make connections between school and home. Each week, we encourage you to participate in a family CharacterDare. Our first dares are centered on family stories and connections and are below.

We would also like to extend an invitation to all families to join us in taking up these challenges whenever possible. We are excited to discover the positive impact that these shared challenges can have on our students, families, and community.

Warm regards,

Danielle Warman

We look forward to seeing you!

NOTE: For families new to BISD, there will be a Question and Answer/Meet & Greet in the Library starting at 5:30 pm. We look forward to seeing all our families on that night!
