Hello, dear families! Welcome to French class! Bonjour chères familles! Bienvenue à la classe de français!

We are going to have a wonderful journey together. I have taught French and Spanish in Michigan and Maryland for eight years, raised my kids at home for many years, and have enjoyed substituting in the elementary, middle, and high schools on Bainbridge for several years. In addition to secondary education and the languages, I have studied school counseling, elementary education, and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), and align my teaching with National Board Standards. I am a Canadian-American and have lived abroad in France, Peru, Ecuador, and the Czech Republic.

I love being in school with my students and coworkers, and I will love learning with you–more than you can imagine, with hard work and fun, and immersed in our own Francophone world.

My family has five people and quite a few pets, as well. I enjoy watching my kids play sports, camping, exploring, helping in my community and always learning new things. You never know what lies ahead! Let’s go Wildcats! Allez les Chats Sauvages! I am here for you! --Madame Oliver
