While I have lived on Bainbridge Island most of my adult life, I didn't come to teaching until 2018. Prior to teaching, I worked in research, development, engineering, and construction of chemical processes, including consumer products, industrial chemicals, oral care, and renewable fuels and chemicals. I enjoy incorporating my industrial and business experience into my teaching, something that comes naturally with the subjects of science and mathematics.
I hold a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a doctorate from the University of Washington, both in chemical engineering, and I am a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Washington.
